Hey girls! It's October 21st which I have declared as 1021 Day!! I know it sounds cheesy but the experiences surrounding that house really made my college years the best ever! For those who weren't at Hartley's shower this weekend, we missed you! We had fun reminiscing of old sigma pictures, songs, and memories. So I just wanted to take a minute to say I'm so glad we are all friends and I love you!!
In other news, everything else is good. Work is extremeley busy and there are lots of fun things going on socially as well! Just revealed to Brent last friday (Boss Day) that we are going to see Bruce Springsteen in concert in a couple of weeks for his early 30th bday present with Jessica and Ben (also Ben's 30th bday present). YAY! Hope all is well and everyone is staying warm!

Baby-Hoo's First Pictures
So it's only taken me a week to recover from last weekend...but it was so worth it!! Energy just doesn't come as plentiful when your 7 1/2 months pregnant, but a few nights of going to bed at 8:00 has helped. I'm already looking forward to the 2010 Wahoo vaca!! Oh and the you tube videos are fantastic...it makes me want to go back and visit our furry little friends!

Oops!
So, I should have read this thing before heading to SC...umm, little sister news was all new to me! But glad this is getting some use! I will need to figure out how to get alerts when a new blog has been posted!
Anyway, the flight back was good...except that little mishap in the airport with the dress and the yellow polka dotted undies...yikes! I was totally jealous of Jax for having been home for hours by the time i made it home close to 10pm...but its as always, well worth it!
We had my family scholarship golf tournament yesterday for my father's late brother and father...for the 24th year in a row, it was sunny! I've decided I need to figure out how to get married on the same day, to insure nice weather.
well sad to be away from you gals, it was a fun weekend, and looking forward to December! And then looking forward to a fabulous Wahoo weekend sans a bride in 2010...unless Maria or Pack have something to share with us :) Jax get on your thinking cap for the next one!

Cake Balls!!
Hello Ladies... thought I would update the blog since no one has posted in a while!! I just want to say that I had a lot of fun over wahoo weekend and enjoyed the relaxation and pampering!
In my neck of the woods... I had that power point presentation tonight. Um..yeah.. it was weird. Not only did I have to present to people from the University of Phoenix but also my fellow candidates.. which was completely weird! So after tonight the woman said she was gonna narrow it down even more and then we would do individual interviews then she would make a final decision. You would think I was applying to be the CEO of a fortune five hundred company or something... jeez! Greg had two interviews this week. Both went well and he has a second interview for one next week. So.. ultimately things are starting to pick up around here which is fabulous. I just would like to say keep your fingers crossed and the prayers coming - hopefully one of us will finalize a job soon :) :) Also, Pack and Maria- thanks for the well wishes, I really appreciate it!
In other news... oh right.. I have no other news. Greg and I are doing well and things ultimately are going okay (other than the freaking gallons of rain we've gotten - bleh).
Hope everyone is doing well. Oh... and side not... Greg LOVES the cake balls I brought home. I think I got two bites and he ate the rest-- little oinker.

Don't worry Hales- I didn't upload your blue undies!!!

Going to visit DAD!!
Hey kids! I see the blog action hasn't really picked up but I am going to trying to keep it going! I am heading out tonight to see my dad in VA! He is in town for a high school reunion so I took a few days off to see him and some of my other VA family. I am pretty pumped since I can't even remember for sure when the last time I saw him was! Since he will be in town now means he won't be for Thanksgiving and I am considering not going either. Without him there it's not as much fun and I am kind of exiting about spending Thanksgiving with my mom for the first time since she and my dad got divorced. It will also be fun to be able to go back to Irmo since I rarely go back after my parents moved to BFE and Jessica is throwing Ben's 30th birthday bash that weekend....and CLemson v Carolina!!
Anyway....my flight gets back in Saturday at noon so I will be ready to party hard for Heather's shower!!! Ryan we will miss you but see you in a few weeks! Maria, have fun this weekend....family wedding right? Everyone else, see you Saturday!!!!

More little sister news
Well something weird must be happening in the land of little sisters....my sister, Stephanie, got engaged this weekend!
She seems so young to me still but I guess at 25 she really isn't that young. She hasn't made any plans and I'm sure they will wait until next summer since she is a teacher so depending on the date she could be closer to 26 when she gets married which is fairly normal. However, my sister never got older than 16 to me....is that weird? I do realize that she owns her own house, teaches young children by profession, and has had this adult relationship for about a year but I literally still picture her in my head around age 16. This is probably b/c she was 16 when I left for college...I think this is just always how it will be! But I am glad she is happy (unlike with previous loser boyfriend also named Chris)! As many of you know, we are night and day so it will be wierd to see her plan a wedding. I am sure it will be super small (like at my grandparents house) and probably not a big to-do as far as planning goes. I'll keep you posted.
In other news, I spent all day Saturday painting at my sister-in-law's new house and started back to the gym this weekend. Needless to say I am a little sore this morning but know I need to get back in the habit! As Brent said, the older we get, the harder is going to be to stay in shape....yes he actually said that! Probably b/c he is turning 30 this year!!
Other than that...not much else going on! I am super excited about seeing everyone soon at Heather's shower next weekend and Wahoo weekend (only 1 month away)!! YAY!

BLAH
So I am sitting at work bored as hell and thought that I would post the latest goings on in my life. Not too much is new but I was just in Cola on Sunday for my LITTLE sisters 21st bday. Which made me feel super old b/c we are 6 years a part and she isn't supposed to be legal to drink. I aslo felt old the next day when my hangover was enormous and it was not as easy to get over as it used to be. I also had my own stupid moment of the trip when we went out on Sunday night at 12 pm for her first legal drink I realized, after being carded, that I had misplaced my license!!! So I drove 3 hours to be with my sister for her first legal drink and couldn't be served. Yep...my luck.
I met Chandler's boyfriend for the first time. He seems nice enough but reminds my a lot of my old John...scary! And I also found out that he was planning on proposing to her on her bday!!!! I almost had the largest melt down of my life until Chand told me that when she found out what he was going to do she put a quick halt to the question. She was mature enough to say that she didn't want to get engaged until she was out of school and had a real job. So thankfully he had not asked my Dad for permission yet or told his family. But I am very disturbed that my younger sister has a ring waiting for her in some sock drawer right now.....
I am still looking for jobs in Cola and Ben is still looking for a job anywhere. The manager from the club in Cola keeps calling me to come and work for him and hints that in the very near future his Food and Beverage Director will be leaving and he wants me to take over. So if that is the case then i will definitly be taking that opportunity. I plan on coming down and talking to him in the next few weeks to find out more. I am also still waiting to find out more about the PhD program at USC and hopefully will start that next fall. We'll see what the future brings.
Ben is great...still hunting for a teaching job but working at the club watching over pools for now. Other than that I don't have much else going on. I am very excited that i will be seeing all of you very soon. I wish it could actually be sooner b/c I could really use some wahoo time. Hope all is well and can't wait to read everyones updates.

On the Bandwagon!!!
Hello Ladies... Sorry its taken forever for me to post!! My life is .... chaotic to say the least. Of course, you all know we moved! We got into Raleigh, literally spent a day and half here, then drove to FL for my cousin's wedding :) We drove back yesterday.... 11 hours later.. we were back in Raleigh. Now we are trying to get situated. Our stuff is supposed to arrive tomorrow so we will finally have our bed back which I am super excited about. Also... we can stop sitting in beach chairs and have a couch. I think after our stuff is in I can finally get back to a sense of normalcy. So.. I really don't have much to post about other than our move (keep your fingers crossed most of our stuff arrives unbroken!). I am pretty much just job searching and will be unpacking -- and buying stuff for our place with the fun wedding gift cards we received -- for the next couple of days. I can say I am super pumped that I am closer and am looking forward to our next much needed get together :) :) I am glad everyone is doing pretty good -- Maria I am glad to hear you are okay after your accident- that is too crazy!!! You have terrible accident luck :( I will post more often - I promise!

Shut up....
So I am super excited the Wahoo's are finally picking up on the whole blogging thing...or should I say Wogging! If my memory serves me correctly I suggested this several months ago...so I'm glad Ryan set everything up!
Question for you Ryan, are we the only one's who can view and post on the blog?
My update....still trucking along being pregers. I am actually really enjoying being pregnant...but have no fears I still only want two kids! Joey finally felt him kick last week and he was just grinning! He is an active little sucker and gets the hiccups all the time...which is a really weird feeling and I often think to myself it feels like an alien has invaded my body. We are almost certain the name will be Carson Winn (I had to save Hartley just in case next time was a girl...hehe). Hopefully in the next few weeks the nursery furniture and bedding will be in so I will send pics as I go of the progress in the nursery. So far the only thing I have done is clean out the closet. I had to figure out what I would do with all of my clothes in order to make room for his growing wardrobe. I'll admit when I first found out it was a boy I thought to myself...awww but the little girl clothes are so much cuter (and they still are) and there are so many more....however between my mom and Elaine I am realizing the little boy clothes are just as cute! I have attached a picture of the clothes that have been purchased in the last two weeks by his grandmothers (and this does not include all the clothes they still have that they are waiting to give us, nor does it include all the clothes my Aunt Peg and Grandma Hartley have bought). I had my 24 week appt yesterday and everything looks great!! I will get Joey to take a picture soon of my growing belly to send to y'all (but only y'all can look at it!!)....because it is defiantly growing!

Ok sorry, enough baby stuff! In other news, work is going great! We found out last week we were bought out by Aflac. At first I was a little nervous, but after a ton of meetings I have come to realize this is a great opportunity for my company and myself! I had my 10 year HS reunion on the 25th...OMG that made me feel old! But it was a blast seeing everyone! I hate that I missed beer Olympics at the beach, but I have a feeling I may have been a party pooper!
Joey's got dinner ready so let me run!
Glad to hear everyone is doing great! Yay...I am so excited about the Wahoo Blog!!
Love y'all!
First Time Blogger
Hello Ladies! Thanks Ryan for setting this up! Not much new my way! Just got my car back yesterday from being in yet another car accident! Yes ladies I think I need to stay off the road. I can honestly say this time it was not my fault! 2 Saturday's ago my parents and I were coming home from eatting breakfast and running a couple of errands and I was waiting to turn left into my neighborhood and some idiot just came barrelling down the road and hit me from behind! Well he was going pretty fast and did some damage for driving a little tiny Kia! The guy was definitely a little slow he told my dad he didn't see me sitting there because he just got done eatting lunch with his mom and was FULL!! So I guess eatting a lot and being full makes you blind! Anyway, Can't wait to see everyone soon! So excited about my first blog!!

Hi from Heather
Okay so it took me 15 minutes to figure out how to post a blog (and I've done this before)and not even sure if this is right! I may not be as technology-literate as I hoped!! But things are going well here. Just got back from the beach and working on some wedding things this week before heading back to work next week. I am steadily checking things off my list so I am pumped about that! I had my first dress fitting today and even thought I still LOVE it, that bitch is HOT!! I didn't think I would do a wardrobe change but it might be crucial! Oh and my shoes that I had dyed to match came out PINK!! Since I bought them on sale no refund so I am now on the hunt again! Oh well I'll live! Can't wait to see how we all do with this WOGGing...get it...WAHOO/Blog? Corny but I'm sure it got a smile from one of you:)
harvey's first attempt
I've never realized how not techno-savvy I am so now I am officially on facebook and a blog...how exiting! I can (so far) also contribute from work (unlike checking personal email, facebook, etc) which is wonderful!! Great initiative Ryan and great inspiration Jackie with your roadtrip blog!! I've been following it and am super jealous of your opportunity and experience! As for news in Rock Hill, I can't remember who I've told but Brent is back with Longhorn in Rock Hill! Although he would like to get out of the restaurant biz altogether, this a good change (location and job description) that should keep him happier for a little longer! July was the month of beach for me...two beach trips to Oak Island and Murrells Inlet. Close to home but wonderful trips! Saw Gabby (who will be 10 in October if you can beleive it) and Trey on 4th of July which is always good. Had a mini beer olympics attempt in Murrells Inlet at Jessica's! I've also been attending music trivia on Thursdays in Rock Hill which I am not very good at. It's similar to name that tune and depending on the category/time period...I love it or feel very inadequate! Other than that...looking forward to upcoming showers and get togethers with the wahoo's!!
YAY for my first blog!
YAY for my first blog!
My first ever BLOG
This is very exciting!! I have never blogged before! Jax is going to have to help me out on this one. I don't really have anything exciting to post for my first blog but I am all for this new method. We'll see what happens. Good job ryan trying to make us all more technologically advanced.

Wahoo's Taking Big Steps
In light of the recent big steps happening throughout our Wahoo community...between weddings, babies, and relocation's it's time the Wahoo's as a whole took a general step towards the future. BLOGGING. I personally have no idea what I'm doing, but it started as some research for work and ended in what I hope will be a Wahoo Board for us to post our lives and catch up with one another....post pics of everyday life happenings, tell stories about the days events, or reminisce about the younger years. Overall, another way for us to keep in touch!
Let's see how it goes and see what our Winthrop educations are made of :) I mean, how difficult can this be! haha...I know, I know, famous last words!
